It’s easy to make – just add boiling water, however if you’re looking to experiment it can also be flavoured according to your preference. Add some vanilla for a wonderful taste, cocoa powder for a chocolate custard or strawberry powder for a fruity change. It can also be used as pouring custard for use with sponges and flans.
It’s easy to adjust the consistency by adjusting the amount of water added. Always allow it to stand for a minute before serving.
Please note that contents are likely to settle. Store pack in a cool and dry place. Do not subject to direct heat and moisture. Keep it tightly closed after portion use.
Alfred Bird invented Bird’s Custard Powder in 1837 and it still makes a great choice for all custard lovers. Their range of instant desserts has widened over the years to include seasonal treats like trifles and Christmas sauces.
