White Pearl Masoor Dal is made from red lentils that are split with the skin removed. Naturally rich in proteins and fibre, masoor dal provides an important part of the Indian diet as they have a large vegetarian population. There’s no soaking needed as each tub contains a soft dal that cooks rapidly with an earthy flavour. The cooked masoor dal is usually served with rice but it can also be added to hummus, soup, stews or even salads.
Masoor dal contains dietary fibre, vitamin B1, folic acid and minerals. It is very low in fat and makes an excellent source of protein and iron. It can also help improve the body’s blood circulation.
