The great taste of Nando’s restaurant at home – It all started in 1987 when Fernando Duarte and Robert Brozin set up the first restaurant in Johannesburg, South Africa. Nearly 30 years later, the signature flavour has made its way into an inexpensive bottle that you can buy for the family.
The Peri Peri chilli, also known as African Bird’s Eye chilli, first descended from South American cultivars, just like all varieties of chilli pepper. Nando’s have used this as a base to create the delicious salt we all know and love today. The medium flavour gets it’s taste from paprika, cayenne pepper and white pepper. It goes with just about any side or snack, but you’ll find it works especially well with crisps, popcorns, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.
Keep the bottle in a cool, dry place. Close cap tightly after use. Do not use over steaming pots and pans.
Salt, Paprika (23%), Cayenne Pepper, Anti Caking Agent (Silicon Dioxide), White Pepper, Yeast Extract Powder, Natural Flavouring, African Bird’s Eye Chilli (Peri-Peri), Colour (Curcumin)
