White Pearl Bay Leaves provide a pungent, warm aroma and delicious bitter edge to any dish. They are sometimes referred to as the backbone of cuisine all over the world because they perfectly balance heat and spice while also adding depth to the dish. Their flavour mixes well with a variety of ingredients, especially garlic and olive oil. They can be used whole or crushed.
They are commonly used whole in soups, stews, casseroles, stock and gravy to add extra flavour while cooking. Crush into marinades for grilled or barbecued meat and poultry. However, please note that bay leaves should be removed before serving.
