- 4 boxes, each containing 40 tea bags
- Strong and malty taste
- Long expiration dates
Twinings have carefully sourced this variety of black tea from the state of Assam. Located in the North-Eastern region of India, the state is home to a variety of exotic wildlife including the one-horned rhinoceros, tiger and Asian elephant. The box depicts a parade of elephants as they feature prominently in the production of tea, utilising their strength by lifting and carrying heavy objects.
The tea is grown on, or just below, sea level and features a strong, malty flavour that’s great at breakfast or instead of a coffee after a nice evening meal.
Twinings are well known as being a founding member of the Ethical Tea Partnership. This is like the Rainforest Alliance and similarly supports the environment and workers rights to ensure the sustainability of the industry. Their work is not just limited to this project, since 2004 they’ve helped over 500,000 children in India and China by improving education, local health services and giving access to fresh drinking water.
Pop a tea bag in your favourite mug and fill with boiling water. Leave to brew for 3-5 minutes depending on your taste and you’re ready to go! If you like milk, you can add that as well.
Store in a cool, dry place. Please check the packaging for an expiration date.
